FedEx Indonesia Secures Halal Logistics Certification, Enhancing Customer Experience Across the Supply Chain

Jakarta, Indonesia, 24 February, 2026 — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, announced that it has secured Halal Logistics Certification in Indonesia, effective February 2026. This certification reinforces its ability to support businesses across the country with halal-compliant, secure, and reliable logistics solutions.

This certification strengthens the ability of FedEx to meet the growing needs of the country’s expanding halal economy where businesses increasingly require assurance that halal integrity is protected throughout the distribution process.

FedEx Indonesia’s logistics processes are fully aligned with Indonesia’s halal regulatory framework, including Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Guarantee (JPH) and related regulations. By meeting these standards, FedEx Indonesia, ensures that halal shipments are managed with integrity across the entire logistics chain - from pick-up and transit to storage and final delivery, including cross-border movements.

Key operational measures include:

  • Fleet, equipment, and facility cleanliness with strict separation of halal and non‑halal shipments across trucks, vans, forklifts, and storage facilities.
  • Shipment handling protocols, where couriers and Gateway teams inspect shipments, verify labeling, and follow procedures to prevent cross‑contamination.
  • Purification procedures when equipment or facilities are exposed to non‑halal materials, using purification methods aligned with certified-approved standards.
  • Employee training and supervision, including Certified Halal Supervisors overseeing operations and company‑wide training to ensure compliance.
  • Structured monitoring and process management for storage, handling, and transportation, with ongoing maintenance of equipment and facilities.

“Our customers in Indonesia need logistics partners they can trust to protect halal integrity across the supply chain,” said Garrick Thompson, Managing Director of FedEx Indonesia. “Achieving Halal Logistics Certification shows that FedEx is here to meet those needs - combining operational excellence with local expertise and global standards, so Indonesian businesses can expand globally with confidence.”

This latest milestone underscores continued efforts of FedEx to strengthen operational capabilities and enhance service experience in Indonesia. FedEx also celebrated 40 years of operations in Indonesia last year, underscoring its deep roots and continued commitment to the market.
