FedEx Team Members Participate in Urban Tree Planting to Create a More Sustainable Future

Seoul, South Korea, April 16, 2024 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has collaborated with local non-profit Forest for Life to plant 200 trees and install birdhouses in Seoul. Held on April 13, 2024 at 2 District of Onsu Park in Yangcheon-gu, the community initiative was attended by about 50 FedEx volunteers and their family members. It is part of FedEx’s continued commitment to build a more sustainable future while enabling employees to contribute to conservation efforts and promote environmental awareness in local communities.

“At FedEx, we are committed to connecting people and possibilities around the world in responsible and resourceful ways, while promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship in the communities,” said Wonbin Park, managing director of FedEx Express Korea. “I am glad to see our FedEx team members participate in this meaningful activity that supports efforts to restore nature in Korea. We will continue to incorporate sustainability practices across all aspects of our organizational culture to meet our own carbon-neutral operations goal by 2040.”

FedEx is committed to creating positive change in local communities. In September 2023, team members and their families volunteered their time to put together 500 care packages comprising eco-friendly school supplies and daily necessities, which were donated to disadvantaged children across the country.
