SEOUL, South Korea, Oct 4, 2023 — FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has expanded its self-collection service*[1] for import shipments through GS25 stores in Korea.

E-retailers and online shoppers can now enjoy greater convenience by having the option of picking up their FedEx packages at any of the GS25 stores nationwide. Customers are able to choose the self-collection service through the FedEx® Delivery Manager International that provides customizable delivery options and alerts. E-tailers using the solution can offer their residential customers the ability to pick the timing and location of their deliveries to fit their schedule – giving them extra flexibility at no extra cost.

“We understand the importance of a seamless delivery experience to drive consumer trust for repeated online purchases. Through this collaboration with GS25 we are creating more possibilities for local businesses and e-retailers to offer their customers a differentiated experience by giving recipients greater control of when and where to pick up their packages. Our self-collection service helps eliminate missed deliveries and improves customer satisfaction,” said Wonbin Park, Managing Director, FedEx Express Korea.

To help Korean businesses connect to more customers, FedEx is enhancing its services to offer fast and reliable delivery for e-commerce businesses. With faster package processing capabilities at the new FedEx Incheon Gateway that came into operation in November 2022, the company now offers same-day delivery service on inbound shipments from Asia, Europe, and the United States to customers not only in Seoul and the Greater Seoul area, but also in the southern region, including Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang provinces. The service enhancement covers more than 80% of the company’s customers in Korea, enabling them to receive their import shipments faster.
