Sydney, Australia, December 13, 2023 FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is expanding the customer experience for shippers in rural and regional Australia who can now access the shipping solution, FedEx Ship Manager® Lite (FSML) from their mobile devices and ship a package without having to print out documents.

FSML was previously only available to FedEx customers in metropolitan areas. Now more customers including local businesses and e-tailers across the country can enjoy efficient and convenient paperless shipping service just in time for the busy year-end shopping season.

“Given the challenging market environment, small businesses, retailers and e-tailers are striving to provide enhanced shopping experiences for their customers during the festive season. In response, we are providing digital tools to make it easy, simple, and convenient for them to ship with FedEx, said Peter Langley, vice president of FedEx Express Australasia. “With our digital intelligence, we are creating differentiated solutions to support the growth of local businesses tapping cross-border opportunities. FedEx will continue to transform how we deliver service excellence through innovation and digitization.”

The introduction of FSML to Australia follows a series of digital solutions, such as FedEx Ship Manager™ (FSM) and Picture Proof of Delivery (PPOD), recently launched for small businesses, enabling them to focus their time on growing their business especially during the holiday months. FedEx is simplifying the shipping process and helping retailers accelerate their deliveries for their customers to cope with the busy season.

FedEx is also building out its e-commerce offerings and adding a wide range of solutions. These include B2B marketplace integration through FedEx Compatible and Alliances programs, customisable last-mile delivery options plus direct messaging and convenient tracking through digital tools like FedEx Delivery Manager International, which gives consumers the assurance that their package has been delivered to their doorsteps.

The FSML courier pick-up service enhancement is available to FedEx account holders and guest shippers in Australia. To learn more, please visit.
