Virus Alert: Fraudulent E-mails May Contain a Virus

The respected FedEx brand has recently been misused by individuals who are sending a rash of fraudulent emails containing a virus that claim a FedEx package could not be delivered. The email asks the receiver to open an attachment in order to obtain the invoice for picking up the package. DO NOT OPEN the attachment. DELETE the email immediately.

When FedEx sends an email with tracking updates for undeliverable packages, the message does not contain any sort of attachment.

We recommend that customers refer to important information on how to protect themselves from fraudulent emails located at www.fedex.com/us/fraud.
