LONDON, 05 December 2016 – FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, honours its workforce by naming its aircraft after team members’ children. Tyler, age 4 and Evie age 9 are the latest children to have two Boeing 757 aircraft named in their honour as part of the FedEx Aircraft Naming Programme. This tradition started when a Falcon aircraft was named Wendy, after the daughter of FedEx Chairman and CEO, Fred Smith. The newly named aircraft, Tyler N140FE and Evie N789FD, make up part of the company’s fleet of over 650 aircraft, delivering to more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. Tyler and Evie join over 700 FedEx employees’ children who have received this honour, saluting the vital role employees play the FedEx world.
