FedEx is launching a unique marketing campaign with the installation of sound devices into more than 700 FedEx Express drop boxes in four NASCAR racing markets.

The drop boxes feature a special message from Denny Hamlin, driver of the #11 FedEx Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Over 400 of the one-of-a-kind drop boxes are rolling into four national markets, leading up to the season finale of the Sprint Cup Series at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, including:

  • Charlotte, NC – Week of Oct. 12
  • Greensboro, NC – Week of Oct. 21
  • Birmingham, Ala. – Week of Oct. 27
  • Miami, Fla. – Week of Nov. 16

The recording by Hamlin will state, “Hi, it’s Denny Hamlin. If you like fast, you just dropped that package in the right place.” This marks the first time FedEx has used voice-enabled devices in its drop boxes.

The FedEx retail network has over 52,000 locations including 1,800 FedEx Office locations, 6,000 FedEx Authorized ShipCenters, 900 FedEx Ship Site services at OfficeMax locations, 725 FedEx World Service Centers and more than 44,000 FedEx Drop Boxes.
