Ian Smith of Enfield has been voted the United Kingdom’s best FedEx courier by customers of FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company.
Managing Director of FedEx Express UK, Trevor Hoyle, said: “Ian is a superb FedEx Ambassador and a worthy winner of the first ever UK Courier of the Year Award. He achieved ten out of ten every time for politeness, presentation and helpfulness. Ian also earned some fantastic compliments from his customers.
Typical of remarks made about Ian’s performance include: “We look upon Ian as a friend…” said Dick Grant of Facio Ltd, Sussex. “Ian’s support has committed us to FedEx.”
Paul Lacey, from PC Care in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, wrote: “Ian is the best courier we have ever had from any company. Very polite extremely helpful and really brightens up my day when he calls.”
Ian’s win is not only a first for the UK, but a first for the FedEx Express world-wide network. Ian wins an extra week’s paid holiday, a £250 gift voucher and the kudos of being the best of the best of FedEx’s couriers in the United Kingdom.
“Asking our customers to recommend their courier for this award has provided us with independent recognition of their professionalism, exemplary conduct and outstanding customer service ethic,” said Mr Hoyle. “We were overwhelmed with the response.
