SEOUL, Nov. 1, 2011 —Federal Express Korea, a subsidiary of FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company, announced the launch of a special discount and awards promotion taking place from October 1 to December 31 for FedEx Express customers who drop off shipments at FedEx Kinko’s centers nationwide.
The promotion highlights the drop-off service for FedEx Express shipments offered by all 26 FedEx Kinko’s centers. As an incentive, FedEx Kinko’s is offering shipping discounts to a wide range of users including corporate customers, walk-in customers and students.
FedEx Express account holders and walk-in customers will receive a 30% discount on FedEx Pak services including the newly launched Extra Large Pak. For example, using the promotional discount, customers will be able to send a 0.5 kg shipment to New York for only KRW 29,610, a savings of more than KRW 10,000 on the original rate of KRW 42,300.
Students, many of whom are currently applying for schools abroad and in need of regular international shipment services, will receive a 30% discount on both FedEx Envelope and FedEx Pak services with a valid student ID. Students are also eligible for a 20% discount on international shipments sent via FedEx International Priority® and FedEx International Economy® services.
Finally, all customers visiting a FedEx Kinko’s Center to use FedEx Express services will receive a scratch card giving a chance to win prizes, including a KRW 1 million gift certificate, tumblers, teddy bear dolls and eco-friendly bags.
“This promotion is in response to the increased demand for express services from our growing customer base,” said Eun-Mi Chae, managing director of FedEx Korea. “It highlights the 24/7 drop-off service that is offered at FedEx Kinko’s locations that provide busy customers with reliable and high quality FedEx services at their complete convenience.”
FedEx Kinko’s Korea currently operates a total of 26 stores within the greater Seoul area including Gyeonggi-do. Stores provide a variety of services, including copying and digital printing, professional finishing, document creation, Internet access and FedEx Express shipment drop-offs.
