More Customers in Asia Pacific to Have 10 a.m. Delivery Service

>HONG KONG, August 15, 2012—FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, today announces that customers in Sydney[1], Australia and Osaka, Japan[2] will now benefit from earlier delivery time for shipments from the U.S., Canada and Latin America to Asia Pacific with the further expansion of FedEx International First® service (FIF).

FedEx International First is an express, time-definite, customs-cleared, door-to-door service that will deliver shipments by 10 a.m. on the day of delivery commitment. A premium service, FedEx customers can experience the same reliability with a money-back guarantee[3] that they have come to expect from FedEx, but with an earlier delivery time. This allows customers greater flexibility in processing their extra-urgent shipments to meet their needs.

“As a facilitator of trade, FedEx is continually innovating and enhancing our service portfolio to support customers’ shipping needs in an increasingly connected global marketplace,” said David L. Cunningham Jr., president, FedEx Asia Pacific. “The expansion of FedEx International First service means that more small businesses and customers can benefit from greater flexibility and reliability for their most important and time-sensitive shipments. This timely solution, matched with our unparalleled network, will help companies large and small tap into new global trade opportunities.”

The FIF service responds to the needs of FedEx customers, including small- and medium-size enterprises, which comprise 95% of businesses in the Asia Pacific region, employ nearly 80% of the workforce, and continue to play a critical role in the region’s economy.[4]

This is a further expansion of FIF within Asia Pacific, which is currently available to inbound customers in Singapore, Eastern and Southern China and outbound to the U.S. from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Macau.
