Cairo, Egypt, April 11, 2023 – As part of its ongoing efforts to give back to the community, FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, collaborated with Egyptian Food Bank to help sort and pack essential food items in Ramadan Happiness Boxes to be distributed to the less fortunate.
Over three days, a total of 55 FedEx volunteers gathered at the Egyptian Food Bank factory in New Cairo to assemble 3,600 Happiness Boxes with a variety of nutritious food items, including rice, lentils, oil, sugar, and tea. The boxes will be distributed across Egypt by the Egyptian Food Bank, which is the first food bank in Egypt established to tackle hunger and food waste.
The Ramadan initiative is part of FedEx Cares, the company’s global community engagement program, designed to help make the world a better place through in-kind shipping, volunteering and charitable giving.
