Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 30, 2025 - Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), the world’s largest express transportation company, announced Eco Rock from Palestine as the winner of the 2025 FedEx Global Possibilities Award at INJAZ Al-Arab’s annual Youth Entrepreneurship Celebration, held in Cairo, Egypt, from October 26 to 30.
This year’s event brought together 88 high school and university students from 12 countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The teams showcased their ventures to FedEx judges and were assessed based on the four pillars of global connectivity: innovation, connecting to new markets, community development, and sustainability, through company reports, presentations, videos, and interviews.
Led by a group of high school students, the winning venture, Eco Rock transforms rock wool – an industrial byproduct – into an effective growth medium for hydroponic farming. The company’s innovative solution reduces waste, saves water and energy, and enhances food security. With a vision rooted in circular economy and sustainability, Eco Rock provides a practical and smart solution to today’s agricultural and environmental challenges.

During the event’s opening day, FedEx team members also hosted a seminar on the importance of international market access and aligning business objectives to a broader purpose.
