Federal Express Corporation (“FedEx”), the world’s largest express transportation company, is renewing its Collaboration Agreement with the Ministry of Tourism and Economic Development (SETUR) of the State of Tabasco. The goal is to boost the national economy and open new growth opportunities for Mexican businesses, focusing on the development of the State and the southeast region of the country.
For 35 years, FedEx Mexico has supported the growth of different businesses, and as its strategic ally, has focused on creating solutions that respond to the needs of its customers. This renewal of the Collaboration Agreement offers solutions to MSMEs (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) that require courier and parcel services for national and international shipments and aims to stimulate the economy of the State to increase productivity, expand the logistics network at their disposal, stimulate trade and economic development of the entity.
By renewing this collaboration agreement, FedEx and the State of Tabasco will continue offering opportunities that allow businesses to keep exporting their products, and to contribute to the economic development of the country. For this reason, FedEx will continue offering preferential rates with discounts, and access to its global network that covers more than 220 countries and territories, with the objective of encouraging national and foreign investment, connecting the State with markets in the world.
“Tabasco is one of the most important development hubs of the southeast of the country, largely due to its export vocation, sending its products mainly to the United States and Canada, through global logistics networks such as that of FedEx. This renewal of the agreement with the State will allow businesses to expand their reach, helping to increase their client portfolio and boost the economy of the State and of the country,” said Jorge L. Torres, Vice President of Operations of FedEx in Mexico.
