As part of the first FWS Day of Service, a day dedicated to honoring the legacy of Frederick W. Smith, founder of FedEx, 18 FedEx Cares volunteers in Chile collaborated with Habitat for Humanity to help improve housing conditions for families in Santiago.
During the activity, volunteers built roof panels and structures, painted homes, and carried out home improvement work, helping create safer and more suitable living spaces for families with children facing serious illnesses and disabilities.
The FWS Day of Service is part of Purple Week, a celebration that highlights the values of the FedEx culture, rooted in the People-Service-Profit (PSP) philosophy, and recognizes the commitment of FedEx team members around the world to the communities where they live and work.
