Indonesia, March 9 2022 — FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, today announced the launch of FedEx Electronic Trade Documents (ETD) in Indonesia. FedEx ETD is an automated international shipping tool that allows customers to submit their trade and customs documents electronically to the FedEx website, simplifying the international shipping process for exporters.

This solution will bring added convenience, particularly to startups and small and medium size enterprises (SMEs), as a result of faster document processing for customs clearance. ETD also allows for pre-clearance assistance whereby a customer’s shipment can be cleared even before arriving at the destination country, with paperwork being processed while a flight is in progress. This helps our customers with operational efficiencies and saves them time. Even shipments containing dangerous goods and dry ice can be processed using ETD (subject to evaluation).

“To support Indonesia’s businesses streamline and automate their processes, we are offering our customers a variety of digital solutions. With the launch of FedEx Electronic Trade Documents, businesses can speed up customs or trade paperwork, which in turn allows them to serve their own customers with greater efficiency. At FedEx, we see digitally-led innovations playing a key role in supporting growth and recovery of the business community in Indonesia,” shared Garrick Thompson, Managing Director, FedEx Express Indonesia.
