Memphis, Tenn. November 25, 2025 — Federal Express Corporation (NYSE: FDX), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, continues to strengthen connectivity between the U.S. and Southeast Asia with its recently introduced Anchorage-Singapore route. Launched in July, the four-day-a-week 777 nonstop flight delivers faster transit times and greater reliability -- benefiting ASEAN importers and customers who rely on timely access to U.S.-sourced goods. The service also reinforces Singapore’s strategic position as the South Pacific consolidation hub for the company’s Southeast Asian operations.

Recent trade data underscores the importance of robust inbound lanes between the United States and Asia. A report from the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) indicates that Asia imported $48.6 billion USD worth of goods from the U.S. in July 2025, highlighting the sustained demand for efficient freight connections as well as the significance of efficient logistic solutions to support cross-border trade.

“By strengthening the U.S.-Asia corridor FedEx is building more agile and resilient supply chains that reinforce Southeast Asia’s business ecosystem and supports both industries and consumers,” said Richard Smith, chief operating officer, international and chief executive officer, airline. “Singapore’s strategic role as a consolidation hub allows us to optimize our intra-Asia network, enhancing service levels and enabling responsive logistics solutions that fuel inbound growth across the region.”

The flight departs from the FedEx hub located at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, which plays a critical role in the global FedEx network as a gateway for trans-Pacific shipments. FedEx is investing $200 million in an ongoing modernization project at the Anchorage hub, which includes a new sorting facility and additional parking for aircraft.

FedEx’s continued investment in Singapore and its regional network demonstrates the company’s commitment to support customers with smarter logistics solutions and enabling effective cross-border trade across Southeast Asia. Earlier in April, FedEx also launched its first direct Singapore–Anchorage service[1], operating six times a week with a dedicated Boeing 777 freighter, making FedEx the only logistics provider offering a direct, non-stop connection from Singapore to the continental U.S, enhancing supply-chain efficiency and strengthening connectivity for key industries such as aerospace, healthcare, industrial, high-tech, and semiconductor materials.

With the World Trade Organization projecting APAC goods-import volumes to grow by around 5% in 2025[2], FedEx continues to strengthen the region’s inbound ecosystem. Along with the FedEx Import Tool[3], an automated single-window solution, which aids the clearance process, and Electronic Trade Documents enabling paperless processing and accelerated customs clearance with reduced delay risks. Together, these enhancements deliver more predictable deliveries and greater confidence for distributors, manufacturers, and retailers across Southeast Asia. As a result, business benefit from more responsive supply chains, and the ability to meet rising demand with greater agility, supporting inbound growth throughout the region.
