FedEx Chairman, President and CEO Participates in National Competitiveness Forum

Today, FedEx Chairman, President and CEO Frederick W. Smith participated in the 2013 National Competitiveness Forum hosted by the Council on Competitiveness. This event gathered experienced, creative leaders and renowned thinkers in academia, government and industry to discuss the state of America’s competitiveness and explore pressing and emerging priorities.

Mr. Smith addressed energy and investments issues during a session on “Leadership Perspectives on Competitiveness Trends and Drivers.” Whirlpool Chairman and CEO Jeff M. Fettig and Siemens President and CEO Eric Spiegel joined Mr. Smith on the panel to discuss industry trends, technological transformations and key challenges and opportunities to improve U.S. competitiveness.
