FedEx Wins Multiple Honors at Annual Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards

SHANGHAI, May 6, 2009 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, has won a number of key industry accolades at the 23rd annual Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA). These include Best Air Cargo Carrier ( North America ), Best All Freighter Airlines, and Best Logistics Service Provider (Air Freight). This is the second consecutive year in which FedEx has won in these categories.

Organized by prominent regional trade publication Cargonews Asia, the annual awards are the oldest and most respected accolades for the industry in Asia . The awards represent the industry’s recognition of distinctive operators based on criteria such as excellence in customer experience, consistency in service, continuous innovation, and strong company mission.



In all, there were 45 award categories in this year’s AFSCA, covering all aspects of the cargo industry. The selection of winners was made through a nomination and final voting process involving 12,500 Cargonews Asia readers who are key industry decision makers across Asia . Final results were verified by independent auditor Ernst & Young and announced in Hong Kong on April 22.
