FedEx Welcomes New Customs Procedures

FedEx welcomes the new efforts by the Obama administration to modernize and streamline U.S. customs clearance procedures. The 2016 deadline for establishing a single electronic portal for data necessary for the U.S. government to clear exports and imports will slash bureaucratic red tape.

“These latest steps by the United States will cut bureaucracy and time-consuming paperwork for our customers, especially the small and medium businesses,” said Michael Ducker, President, International, FedEx Express. “We look forward to further trade facilitation efforts now in the process of being negotiated with key U.S. trading partners.”
