TAIPEI, Jun 3, 2013—In recognition of its continued efforts to create a great place to work, FedEx Express (“FedEx”), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX), received two accolades in Taiwan, namely the 2013 Aon Hewitt Best Employer and the Aon Hewitt Best Employer for Women.

“It is our people who earn FedEx these recognitions and make us unique. They make every customer experience outstanding, and make us who we are today,” said Michael Chu, managing director of FedEx Express Taiwan. “Our dedicated people are the key to our 40 years of success. Through our People-Service-Profit philosophy where we reinvest our profits into developing our people and the local community, we create a great place to work.”

Since 2001, Aon Hewitt has conducted the Best Employers research in Asia Pacific once every two years. The survey aims at providing insights into how organizations can create a real competitive advantage through people, exploring what makes a workplace of choice, and identifying a list of best employers in Asia Pacific.

The 2013 Best Employers research was enhanced with the launch of the Aon Hewitt Best Employers 2.0 study, a newly designed model for defining best employers in ten Asia Pacific markets including Australia/New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Three data sources – Employee Opinion Survey, People Practice Inventory and CEO Questionnaire and Interview – were analyzed by the external judging panel before determining the Best Employer winners.
