Paris, 2 June 2008 - FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX) and the world’s largest transportation company, announces its support to the Yellow Tennis Ball Project, launched by the Tennis French Federation (FFT) with the 2008 Roland-Garros tournament.

The Yellow Tennis Ball Project is an environmental, educational and social initiative which collects used tennis balls that are grinded into crumbs to produce sports floor coverings. These are then offered to associations dedicated to social activities.

As an Official Partner of the Roland Garros tournament since 2002, FedEx is pleased to support the Yellow Tennis Ball Project. The company is financing the process where used tennis balls are collected into dedicated container-stands. This initiative gives an ecological dimension to the Tournament while ensuring its sustainability.

FedEx contribution to this new initiative is in line with its support for global sustainable development policy, and its commitment to promoting environmental safety and protection. FedEx has been working for several years to reduce the environmental impact of its daily activities, with a focus on energy-efficiency. Measures taken include the use of alternative energies for its vehicles, the development of packaging made from recycled materials, and the implementation of waste management programs.
