FedEx Supports Growth of Small and Medium-Size Businesses with Service Enhancement in 21 Cities in South Korea

Delivery Enhancements offer better connections and convenience for Small and Medium-sized businesses

SEOUL, South Korea, 22 October, 2018 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, today announced it would expand and improve services in major areas in Korea. Improvements in overall services ranging from pick-ups to delivery service times are being implemented nationwide in areas with increased demand such as Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Gyeonggido regions.

The nationwide service enhancements include:


  • Extension of cut-off times and improvement of transit times in 6 major cities such as Busan Metropolitan City, Gwangju Metropolitan City, Daejon Metropolitan City, Cheongju, Asan, and Gimhae.
  • Direct Service Expansion. FedEx will offer improved access for customers through its team members directly serving areas in Busan Metropolitan City, Gwangju Metropolitan City, Daegu Metropolitan City, Sejong, Sacheon, Cheonan, Asan, Anseong, Gwangyang, Jinju, Chungju, Pyeongtaek, Jecheon, Wonju, Icheon, Yongin, Hwaseong, Changwon, and Cheongju.
  • Network Improvement: In July 2018, we launched a new Boeing 757 flight from FedEx Asia-Pacific Hub Guangzhou to Hanoi, Vietnam. South Korea importers and exporters enjoy greater competitiveness with next-day delivery to and from Hanoi, one business day faster than previously.
