FedEx Shares Best Practices on Safe Shipping and Handling of Dangerous Goods

SEOUL, South Korea, May 26, 2017 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, held a seminar to enhance awareness of best practices for safe transportation of dangerous goods at the Intercontinental Seoul COEX on May 25th. FedEx invited approximately 30 customers who are shippers of dangerous goods (DG) to the seminar.

Speakers for the event included Assistant Director of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, who shared the most recent international and local DG regulations and reinforced DG management in Korea, and Kyung-rae Seo, Director at DGR Service, discussed the practical procedures and packaging for preparing international shipping of DG shipments. Donnie Shin, Health & Safety Senior Specialist at FedEx, explained how DG shipments are processed. Shin also explained how to comply with the latest policies and regulations for DG shipments and presented customer cases and highlighted how to correctly pack dangerous goods.

FedEx offers DG One Stop service for sending international shipments of dangerous goods. The One Stop service covers consultation regarding the status and ratings of dangerous goods, pick-up and inland transport, packaging and international shipping complying with the latest international dangerous goods regulation.
