MIAMI, May 26, 2009 – FedEx retail customers in direct-served markets in Latin America and the Caribbean can look forward to discounted shipping when they sign up for the FedEx Purple Card Rewards Program running through December 31, 2009. The program is an example of the Company’s continued dedication to providing customers with cost effective solutions for their personal and business needs.

“This program is designed to provide our retail customers with an incentive to ship more with FedEx and take advantage of savings offered when they drop off their packages at a FedEx World Service Center®”, said Mike Murkowski, Vice President of Marketing, Customer Service and Customer Experience for FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division.

Customers simply complete a quick registration process in order to become card members and can enjoy progressive discounts up to a free shipment* when they ship their package using FedEx International Priority® service. International Priority service ensures the delivery of packages up to 68kg in one to three business days to the more than 220 countries and territories that FedEx delivers to worldwide. Customers can choose to drop off their package at any of the more than 115 FedEx World Service Centers across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Purple Card will be available to customers from now through December 31st, 2009.
