FedEx Recognized as One of 100 Best Human Resource Management Companies in China

SHANGHAI, December 7, 2012 — FedEx Express, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), today announced that it has been recognized as one of the 2012 Best Human Resource Management (HRM) Companies by 51job Inc, the leading integrated human resources service provider in China. The company also won the Best Social Responsibility category award.

100 Best HRM Companies is a prestigious award program to evaluate human resource management (HRM) in China. This year, the organizer focused on HRM in diversified industries with 348 out of 330,000 companies invited to the selection. After questionnaires, face-to-face interviews and detailed data analysis, 100 companies from 249 applicants were recognized as outstanding employers not only for their contributions to employee investment, work place and employee performance improvement, but also their active involvement in corporate social responsibility.

“We are very honored to be selected as one of the 100 Best HRM Companies in China. Employees are our most important asset at FedEx. The awards demonstrate how our people first corporate culture enables FedEx to be an employer of choice by fostering a positive, open work environment,” said Eddy Chan, senior vice president, FedEx China. ”As a responsible corporate citizen, FedEx cares for the communities where it lives and works. Our support of charitable programs reflects our key values and our commitment to corporate social responsibility.”

The selection of category awards this year focused on the contribution of human resource management to both business operation and market competitiveness. Altogether 128 companies submitted 193 cases to compete for category awards in nine specific areas of human resource management. FedEx ranked number one in the Best Social Responsibility category for its outstanding achievements in corporate social responsibility initiatives.

In 2011, FedEx was selected as a winner of 51job Inc.’s Most Popular Employer with the BEST Workplace and Most Popular Employer on Campus awards.

“The awards demonstrate the remarkable performance of FedEx in human resource management,” added Chan. “It is a great recognition for our continuous commitment to the China market, people strategy and corporate culture.”
