FEDEX RECEIVES TAIPEI CITY GOVERNMENT 2-STAR HAPPY COMPANY AWARD

Taipei, June 2, 2011 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation company, was honored as a 2-Star winner in the “Happy Company” campaign organized by the Taipei City Government Department of Labor. The campaign was launched in 2011 in view of improving economic conditions and growing competition among fresh graduates and job seekers. The campaign aims to recognize companies who offer a rewarding working environment to its employees.

FedEx was selected as a winner based on a vigorous evaluation process in which four key elements were examined: “Workplace environment”, “Compensation and training”, “Benefits and rewards” and “Workplace friendliness and other factors”. FedEx stood out from a number of other multinationals and local companies in Taiwan for its commitment to providing employees with a safe and friendly working environment, benefits and rewards, and training and development opportunities as reflected in its People policies.

Earlier this month. FedEx was also recognized by Aon Hewitt, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company, as one of the Best Employers in Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore; as well as the Best Employer for Woman in Korea.In Thailand, FedEx is named as having ‘High Potential to be Best Employer’. Inaugurated in 2001, Aon Hewitt’s bi-annual Best Employers in Asia survey is the region’s largest and one of its most prestigious human resource surveys. It measures employers’ effectiveness in creating a workplace environment that engages employees and delivers value through their people.
