FedEx Named Aon’s Best Employer in Japan For Third Time

Success Attributed to Strong People-First Culture

TOKYO, September 2, 2016 - FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), and the world’s largest express transportation company, has been named a Best Employer in Japan for the third time by human resources consultancy, Aon Japan. Masamichi Ujiie, regional vice president North Pacific, FedEx Express, accepted the award on behalf of FedEx at the ceremony held August 26.

This selection is testament to our corporate philosophy, and makes me proud as an employee.”

In addition to being named Best Employer in Japan, this year FedEx was also recognized as Aon’s Best Employers in South Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and the Asia Pacific Region.

The program consists of three comprehensive surveys to assess the employer: an Employee Opinion Survey, Interview with top management on business and HR strategies, and Questionnaire to Human Resources function about HR practices. FedEx delivered balanced results in each assessment for the company’s third selection, having also received the award for Best Employer in Japan in 2006 and 2015. The Best Employers program, launched in the Asia Pacific region in 2001, is an ongoing program designed to improve the following: 1) Employee Engagement, 2) Employer Branding, 3) Leadership Effectiveness, and 4) High Performance Culture.
