FedEx Media Alert: FedEx Honoured as One of the Top Contributor to Changi Airport’s Airfreight Traffic

SINGAPORE, July 27, 2011 – FedEx Express., a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has been named third in Changi Airport Group’s (CAG) “Top 10 Airlines by Cargo Carriage” list and fourth on the “Top 5 Airlines by Cargo Growth list” in the annual “Changi Airline Awards”. This is the sixth consecutive year that FedEx has been honoured as one of the top contributor to Changi Airport’s airfreight traffic.

The award criterion for the Top 10 Airlines by Cargo Carriage is based on the total volume of cargo that airlines shipped through Changi Airport in 2010. The Top 5 Airlines by Cargo Growth is based on the absolute cargo growth in 2010. FedEx and 4 other airlines carried 1.1 million tonnes of airfreight in 2010, an increase of 8% compared to 2009 and represented 49% of Changi’s overall cargo growth in 2010.

“We are honored to be named one of Changi Airport’s top 10 cargo airlines for six years in a row,” said Clifton Chua, managing director of FedEx Express Singapore. “This award is a result of the FedEx team members’ outstanding commitment to excellence. FedEx will continue to build upon this commitment to excellence and our network capabilities to provide customers with fast and reliable connectivity, and unparalleled access to markets worldwide.”
