FedEx makes a positive difference in communities across China during Annual “FedEx Cares Week”

Beijing, Sept. 13, 2010 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, marks its annual FedEx Cares Week - a celebration of volunteerism at FedEx - in China from September 11-19. Into its third year in China , FedEx is supporting various activities initiated by employees who donate their time and talents to give back the community where they live and work.

Joining over 500 FedEx volunteers in 11 Asia markets, more than 330 FedEx China volunteers will take part in 19 community activities in 13 cities around the country. During the week-long event, FedEx China volunteers will commit to a range of activities including caring for the elderly; taking children with special needs on outings; playing games with special needs children, holding a clothing drive; and, cleaning and enhancing schools, parks, and community centers.

First launched in the U.S. in 2005, FedEx Cares Week will be celebrated on September 17 – 25 in the U.S. , Europe, and the Latin America/ Caribbean region.
