FedEx Launches Year-End Promotion for Shipments made via Chunghwa Post

TAIPEI, November 9, 2011 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, today launched a promotion for FedEx shipments made from FedEx Authorized Ship Centers (FASC) at any of the 1,299 Chunghwa Post locations throughout the island. The promotion will last until February 29, 2012.

The promotion offers customers attractive shipping discounts, with shipments to Asian destinations as low as NT$475 up. In addition, for each FedEx International Priority shipment made at Chunghwa Post locations, customers can participate in a scratch-and-win sweepstake for a chance to win an iPad2, NT$500 or NT$100 Chunghwa Post vouchers, FedEx key rings, or other prizes.

At selected Chunghwa Post locations, FedEx is also offering the Extra Large Pak, a new packaging option which is 90 percent larger than the FedEx Large Pak and can be used for both document and non-document shipments.[1].

FedEx entered a commercial alliance with Chunghwa Post in May 2010 to offer FedEx International Priority service at Chunghwa Post locations. In July of the same year, FedEx extended its FASC network to a total of 1,299 Chunghwa Post sites to benefit more individual customers in Taiwan. The FedEx International Priority service is a time-definite, customs cleared, door-to-door delivery to more than 220 countries with a money back guarantee[2]. The delivery may take one business day to arrive in any major Asian or US cities and 2-3 working days to arrive in any major European cities.
