FedEx Launches 3 Integrated Logistics Facilities in Bangkok to Enhance Customer Experience

Integrated Stations and Depots Increase Connectivity to Better Serve

BANGKOK, NOVEMBER 11, 2019 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, announced the launch of three integrated facilities in Bangkok; to enhance service capabilities in the central region and throughout the country.

The stations and depots are located in Laksi, Bangna and Rama III in Bangkok. The Rama III station serves the most traffic, capable of processing over 7,500 packages daily. Measuring 3,300 square metres, the Rama III station operates 24 hours a day. With 180 employees and 93 ground operation vehicles.

The Laksi station, measuring over 8,000 square metres, has 66 ground operation vehicles. It can process up to 1,900 packages daily and flexible with night delivery service. The Bangna station, measuring 6,200 square metres, serves as a major domestic and international station for bulk shipping. It can process 5,500 packages daily and covers 26 postcode areas. These areas are in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Chachoengsao and Chonburi.

All the stations are equipped with x-ray scanners for inbound and outbound packages, ensuring the highest standards of security and safety compliance. The facilities are located in the Bangkok Metropolis which has the third-highest Gross Provincial Production (GPP) in the country, supported primarily by the manufacturing and transport sectors that generate 543,708 million Baht, making up 30.8% of the region’s income.

The facilities highlight the long-term commitment of FedEx to the growth of Bangkok’s logistics infrastructure, optimizing the company’s regional and global connectivity to support local business, and creating more possibilities for small, medium and large enterprises to import and export goods.
