FedEx Korea Holds “Packing Material Recycling Idea Contest”

SEOUL, September 14, 2011— FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, announced that it will hold the “Packing Material Recyclig Idea Contest“ celebrating the launch of a new Extra Large Pack (XL Pack), the largest size package in the market. FedEx Korea customers will submit a creative idea about how to wisely use recycled packing materials in everyday lives. Winners will enjoy generous prizes such as three day trip to 2011 PUSAN International Film Festival (PIFF), gift certificates, or tickets to the 2011 Korea International Art Fair (KIAF) exhibition. Those who are interested can make enter the contest between September 2nd and 9th, or September between 10th and 23rd. The XL Pack is made of recyclable polyethylene and contains a minimum of 15% post-industrial recycled content. This biggest-in-the-market packing option (52 cm X 44 cm) makes shipping and packing much more efficient. For more than a decade, FedEx has worked to minimize the environmental impact of the packaging wherever possible by using recycled content and maximizing recyclability while encouraging customers to use materials efficiently and recycle materials whenever possible.
