FedEx Kicks off JA International Trade Challenge

For Korean Youth

Apply May 1 to May 20 for the final three teams in Hong Kong

SEOUL, May 1, 2013— Young students with a drive to become successful entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to display their skills and spirit though the ‘2013 FedEx-JA International Trade Challenge’.

The seventh annual ‘FedEx-JA International Trade Challenge’ aims to give young people a better understanding about global business and trade by providing a chance to develop business ideas and strategies. Throughout the challenge, participating students will be able to foster their entrepreneurial skills and exchange business items ideas with peers.

The program, sponsored by FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and Junior Achievement (JA) Korea, is geared toward high school students in Korea. The kick off ‘International Trade Challenge Workshop’ begins on May 25 and ten teams of two people each will be selected to take part in the local challenge.

The final three teams from Korea will compete with students from eight other countries --Japan, Thailand, Philippine, Hong Kong, Vietnam, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Singapore. The dates for the final round are August 28 to 30 in Hong Kong.

The application for the ‘International Trade Challenge Workshop’ will begin on May 1 and end on May 20. Students wishing to attend the workshop can download an application form from the JA Korea website (www.jakorea.org) and submit it to salee@jakorea.org.
