TOKYO, December 22, 2016 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has launched a new advertising campaign introducing services that support globally active Japanese small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) by helping them address the challenges of conducting business worldwide.

The advertising campaign features short videos of customers using FedEx services that will appear in major markets around the world. One highlighted customer is the Japanese SME, Snow Peak Co., Ltd., an outdoor fashion and gear manufacturer based in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture. The video shows the role FedEx plays in shipping products to Snow Peak’s directly operated store in New York City.

A dedicated campaign page (http://www.fedex.com/jp/global/) on the FedEx website introduces the Snow Peak film along with insight on SMEs expanding overseas, case studies featuring companies already expanding overseas, the latest trade-related data and expert information and advice.

“FedEx aims to be a reliable logistics provider for SMEs and to support their global expansion,” said Malcolm Sullivan, vice president, Marketing Solutions & Customer Experience Design, FedEx Express. “By sharing the case study of Snow Peak, which started a new outdoor apparel business in recent years and is now trying to expand its customer base overseas, we hope more Japanese SMEs are encouraged to explore new possibilities in overseas markets utilizing the international logistics expertise of FedEx.”

In Japan, the advertising campaign will feature banner advertisements on online media and communications using social media.
