FedEx Freight celebrated the opening of its new service center in Lexington, Kentucky, on Friday.

The center opened for operations in October with approximately 90 employees and replaced a facility located northwest of the current center. Lexington-based Setzer Properties is the developer of the new service center. The 86-door, 50,000-square foot center is strategically situated near New Circle Road (Kentucky Route 4) and showcases a fleet of trucks that incorporate state-of-the-art technology and safety features.

“FedEx Freight is committed to bringing the latest advancements in the LTL industry to our customers, and this new center is no exception,” said Doak Slay, vice president of regional operations at FedEx Freight. “Lexington and the surrounding area are key locations in our network when it comes to serving the needs of our customers, and we look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with those customers and the communities in the region.”
