FedEx Extends Business Hours Ahead of Chinese New Year

Taipei, January 12, 2012—FedEx today announced the extension of operations hours at many of its service centers in Taiwan in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year. The move aims at meeting an expected increase in demand for international shipping services during this period, and providing additional convenience for customers.

The cut-off times for both call-in pickups and shipment drop-offs in most areas will be extended.

· From January 19 to 20, two days prior to Lunar New Year’s Eve, the cut-off times for call-in pickups will be extended to 9 p.m., and the pickup/drop-off cut-off times of major FedEx World Service Centers (WSCs) will be extended to 11 p.m.

· On January 21, all FedEx WSCs will operate during regular weekend service hours.

· There will be no service from January 22 to January 27.

· Normal service hours will resume on January 30.

· On February 4, regular weekday service hours will be offered since this day is being adjusted as an alternate work day.

Customers may drop off their packages at any FedEx WSCs or authorized pickup points (including 1,299 Chunghwa Telecom Post Offices).

** The call-in cut-off times and World Service Center operating hours vary by location. The cut-off times for same-day flights are unchanged on January 19 and January 20. For details, please contact our Customer Service Team at 0800-075-075.
