SEOUL, South Korea, May 8, 2017 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, announced that FILA SEOUL OPEN INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGER (Hereinafter “SEOUL OPEN”), sponsored by FedEx Express Korea, will be held from May 6 to 14 at Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Court.
The SEOUL OPEN, a part of the ATP Challenger Tour, will be attended by around 100 participating players from 20 countries. On May 13 and 14, the tournament matches will be broadcasted live by Naver Sports and SPOTV.
A total of USD 100,000 will be awarded as prize money; 100 ranking points and USD 14,400 will be awarded to the single winner and 100 ranking points and USD 6,200 to the doubles winners. In 2016, S. Stakhovsky from Ukraine and the team of M. Reid and J. Smith from Australia won the single and doubles prize, respectively.
FedEx has been a sponsor of the ATP World tour since 2010, which includes 17 tournaments across 11 countries.
