FedEx Express Recognized for Collaboration by Japan Customs

TOKYO, November 29, 2018 – In honor of “Customs Day”, on November 28 FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, received a certificate of acknowledgement from Japan Customs.

At FedEx, collaboration with customs and regulatory authorities across the world is vital to keeping trade moving. FedEx in Japan continuously supports Japan Customs in their mission set forth by the Customs and Tariff Bureau as well as the Regional Customs authorities, which includes reinforcement of the border control system and strengthening the elimination of harmful items at borders through the enhancement of data collection and analysis.

All FedEx facilities with customs clearance teams – Narita Station, Kansai International Airport office, and Shinsuna Station – were acknowledged by Japan Customs for their collaborative spirit. FedEx representatives received certificates from the Director of Tokyo Customs and the Director of Osaka Customs during the “Customs Day” award ceremonies.
