BANGKOK, December 9, 2015 - FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp (NYSE:FDX), and the world’s largest express transportation company, received two awards for its outstanding contribution to local communities in Thailand. FedEx received a Gold level recognition at the 2015 American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Thailand Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Excellence (ACE) Award and the Creative Partnerships Award for its excellence in creativity and innovation in its CSR programs.

FedEx actively supports programs including the FedEx Safe Kids Walk This Way child pedestrian safety initiative, the FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge and FedEx Career Camp.

Run in collaboration with Safe Kids Thailand, the Walk This Way programs have reached more than 108,000 children, 8,000 parents and 750 teachers throughout Thailand since 2011. Programs include public education classes, pedestrian safety events for students, walking to school safely training for teachers, parent education seminars, and public awareness campaigns.

The FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge has introduced the basics of business, trade and entrepreneurial skills to more than 800 high school students over its seven-year history.

During FedEx Career Camp, college students learn career development tips so that they are ready to join the business world. Jointly organized by FedEx and AMCHAM, more than 350 students have attended the camp since the program was launched in 2010.

In addition, FedEx volunteers regularly roll up their sleeves to renovate schools in the AMCHAM Adopt A School program, plant trees, and help clean up parks and schools during the annual FedEx Cares Week campaign.

“FedEx is committed to developing and sustaining smart, safe and resilient communities where our team members live and work,” said David Carden, managing director, FedEx Express Thailand and Indochina. ”We are very proud to receive the ACE accolade for the fifth consecutive time and delighted to be awarded the Gold Level this year. The award recognizes the dedication of many hundreds of FedEx volunteers who selflessly donate their time and expertise. Our goal is to move forward the possibilities and potential of our communities in Thailand.”

To qualify for ACE recognition, a company’s CSR program must receive high marks in four categories: Attention to business objectives and societal needs; Creation of long-term economic and social gains; Communication and sharing of best practices; and Program sustainability.
