MUMBAI, June 10, 2009 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has been ranked third in the 2009 Great Places to Work Survey (GPTW) in India. FedEx was also awarded the special category award for Best Company for Leadership Development.

For six successive years, FedEx has been the only express transportation company to rank among the top 20 best places to work. The annual GPTW survey is conducted by the Great Places to Work® Institute in association with The Economic Times and covers as many as 373 companies across India.

“People are the cornerstone of FedEx ‘People-Service-Profit’ philosophy,” said Taarek Hinedi, managing director operations, FedEx Express. “We invest a significant amount of time and effort to gather feedback from our employees and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address concerns.”

Globally, FedEx has consistently placed in the list of best companies to work for. The company was also awarded the Platinum Award for Excellence in People Management in 2007 for its consistent ranking.

Among the key drivers of success as a great place to work is the company’s robust people policy that includes guaranteed fair treatment, diversity and equal opportunity policies, and a focused program on people development, which includes customized training and development and rewards.

The company also actively engages with employees and strives for continuous improvement by leveraging employee feedback generated from an internal feedback mechanism. This is in addition to any feedback obtained from the GPTW survey itself.
