FedEx Express Opens New Station in Ponce

PONCE, P.R., August 19, 2010 – FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, recently inaugurated its new service station in Ponce, Puerto Rico.


With an estimated $2 million investment and 27,853 square feet, the facility can handle up to 2,400 packages per hour. This new station also houses a convenient FedEx World Service Center with ample customer parking. Conveniently located outside the Mercedita Airport in Ponce, the station is easily accessible from Las Américas Expressway and Highway PR#10.


“The FedEx station in Ponce reaffirms our commitment to the Puerto Rico business community and provides customers with improved accessibility to our services. This investment exemplifies our long-term commitment with the economic development of Puerto Rico, especially this year when we celebrate our 30th anniversary on the island,” said José A. Narváez, managing director of Operations for FedEx Express, Puerto Rico.
