FedEx Express Launches New Solution for the Wine Industry in South Africa
JOHANNESBURG, Aug. 19, 2019 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), the world’s largest express transportation company, has introduced a new solution for the wine industry in South Africa. The FedEx Express Wine Solution aims to improve the handling of wine for local and international delivery and distribution.

South Africa is one of the top 10 wine producing countries, producing 3.4% of the world’s product. The wine industry is also a major contributor to the country’s GDP, adding approximately R36 billion to the economy and creating around 300,000 direct and indirect jobs.
