FedEx Express Canada introduces two new services - FedEx 2Day™ and FedEx 1Day™ Freight

TORONTO, Canada October 25, 2004 – Federal Express Corp. (“FedEx Express”), the world’s largest express transportation company, is pleased to announce the addition of two new intraCanada shipping options FedEx 2Day service and FedEx 1Day Freight service to complement its highly robust and reliable suite of domestic and international shipping services.

FedEx 2Day is a cross-Canada, time-definite, door-to-door, 2-day delivery service for packages weighing up to 68 kg (150 lbs). The delivery commitment is by 3 p.m. on the second business day with a money-back guarantee. FedEx 2Day provides customers with an economical alternative for shipments that don’t need to be delivered overnight.

FedEx 1Day Freight is a time-definite, premium, intra-Canada airfreight service providing next day delivery by 5:00 p.m. for packages weighing from 68 kg - 997 kg (151 lbs - 2,200 lbs). The service is backed by a money-back guarantee and offers industry-leading tracking and tracing.

Customers will be able to process FedEx 2Day and FedEx 1Day Freight shipments using any of our leading-edge automation platforms, including FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.ca™ as well as the FedEx Ship Manager™ software and hardware applications. In addition, customers may also use a FedEx Intra-Canada Air Waybill to prepare their shipment documentation.

“In keeping with our unparalleled commitment to the Canadian market, the introduction of these new services allows us to extend our broadest service portfolio to date and reflects our commitment to providing customers with a wider range of “best-in-class” transportation options to meet their shipping needs,” says Brenda McWilliams, Managing Director, Marketing & Corporate Communications. “From small packages to freight, same-day to multi-day, our focus continues to be on providing customers with the ability to choose the right service at the right time and at the right price to best meet their particular needs.”

Leadership in the transportation and logistics industry has been achieved by delivering exceptional value and a superior customer service across all customer touch points - the launch of these two services will only serve to further strengthen that reputation of delivering an “absolutely, positively” exceptional service experience to our customers and the market.
