On Monday, December 17, FedEx experienced the busiest night in company history when it processed more than 11.4 million packages through its worldwide networks. This exceeded the company’s forecast of 11.3 million and beat the existing record of 9.8 million packages. On an average day, FedEx handles more than 7 million packages throughout the network.

In addition, fedex.com broke records by processing over 2 million shipments via its Fedex ShipManager and web services products for the first time ever.

Over 290,000 team members continue to deliver the holidays for customers during the company’s busiest week. FedEx couriers and contractors will be delivering gifts and packages through Christmas Eve this year. As a reminder, the last day to ship via FedEx Express to ensure delivery before Christmas is Saturday, December 22.
