FedEx Import services provide door-to-door, customs-cleared, customized and time-definite services, which empower consignees in India with greater choice and control on their import shipments. With a transit time of typically two to three business days, the new services are available from more than 220 countries and territories worldwide—the highest by any import service provider in India. The services also enable customers to raise invoices and make payments in Indian Rupees. While exports from the country grew by 23.2%, imports posted a 26.1% year-on-year growth in September 2010i.
