Dec 1st, 2008 - FedEx, the world’s largest express transportation company, will deliver more than packages this holiday season. Starting today, FedEx will be collecting books for children through its FedEx Entrega program to encourage the love of reading and learning in those who have limited or no access to books.

FedEx has partnered with non-profit organizations, local celebrities and sports personalities throughout Latin America who encourage and promote education for children in need. FedEx will be collecting new or used children’s books in good condition at all FedEx World Service Centers throughout Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama and Puerto Rico.

“We are proud to launch the FedEx Entrega Program because FedEx recognizes that education is a critical tool in the advancement and development of our communities,” said Juan Cento, president of FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division. “This program aims to promote reading and provides an opportunity for needy children to learn, explore and discover the world through books. Education is key and serves as a hope for those who will be the future of our society,” added Mr. Cento.

The FedEx Entrega Program reinforces the FedEx commitment to our customers and the communities in Latin America. For more information, please visit www.fedex.com <http://www.fedex.com/>
