On 3 October FedEx, the world’s largest express transportation company, supported Action for Children, delivering supplies to volunteers sleeping out in aid of homeless young people.
FedEx delivered boxes of supplies to eight different locations across the UK, including sleeping bags, brollies, woolly hats, food and drink supplies and wellington boots in support of this national event, ‘Byte Night’. Collecting the items from Action for Children, one of the UK’s leading children’s charities, the FedEx fleet travelled a total of 1378 miles to deliver 20 boxes to each location including Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Reading.
The activity is part of the FedEx Cares initiative in which team members across the world give back to their communities. Through this, FedEx supports a number of charitable organisations in the UK and around the world, including Action for Children.

We are hoping to raise more than £1 million in this year’s Byte Night to go towards this vital work and FedEx’s support is crucial to achieving this ambitious goal.”
