FedEx Delivers Hope with Care Packages for Children

SEOUL, KOREA September 24, 2020 — FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, teamed up with Save the Children, an international relief and development non-governmental organization, to supply educational materials to children in need for the fall school term.

Save the Children prepared 400 boxes with materials to help students prepare for school, including stationary kits, face masks and hand sanitizers. FedEx will deliver these care packages to 400 children living in low-income households or from a socially vulnerable environment through child protection organizations in the Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon areas.

“At FedEx we are moving essential goods every day to where they are needed. Our purpose is to support the relief and recovery efforts using the strength of our delivery network,” said Eun-Mi Chae, managing director of FedEx Express Korea. “Many families have been disrupted by COVID-19 and many children, especially in our communities, need our help more than ever. We hope our care packages deliver hope and encourage students in their learning journey of discovering new possibilities.”

The activity is part of FedEx Cares 50 by 50, through which FedEx aims to impact 50 million people around the world positively by its 50th anniversary in 2023.
