SHANGHAI, June 23, 2020 — FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, officially launched the FedEx Online Declaration Tool in China. Developed by the FedEx China team, the platform assists customers in electronically submitting export trade information for low-value (Cat-C) and high-value (Cat-D) shipments.
FedEx customers in China can access the new FedEx Online Declaration Tool through the official FedEx WeChat account and FedEx website. Through the tool, customers can search for their products harmonized (HS) codes and receive guidance about information required by China Customs. Once the customer submits the information, the FedEx Clearance Team starts the review process and provides further assistance if needed. The tool’s smart fill-out feature allows customers to store historical data so that a shipment with the same commodity information is automatically populated. Customers also have full visibility of their declaration status and can track progress.
