FedEx celebrates Season of Giving with Thai students

BANGKOK, December 18, 2012 — Employees at FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company recently celebrated the Season of Giving at Sithipayagorn School in Phra Nakorn Sri Ayutthaya by dedicating new playground equipment, painting school walls, and distributing Christmas gifts to school students.

Over 150 children, parents, teachers, community members and government officials attended the Adopt-a-School Dedication Ceremony as part of an educational initiative between FedEx and AMCHAM Thailand. In addition to the new playground equipment, FedEx volunteers also brought Christmas presents, comprising of educational items to every student to mark this special season. Volunteers also helped paint school walls.

Sithipayagorn School, which was severely damaged by the 2011 flood, is the second school this year to receive a financial contribution from FedEx as part of its commitment to improving educational facilities at public schools across the country.
